Coho has built some of the most advanced energy efficient High Performance Homes in the Portland area. High Performance Homes are healthy, safe, comfortable, and save you money to live in and maintain. The homes that we build are different from traditionally built homes. We incorporate techniques that increase the thermal performance and moisture management, while decreasing the amount of energy required to condition the home. Our well-established relationships with architects, designers, and sub-contractors allow us to properly design and create a home that takes advantage of a site’s natural attributes and execute the techniques and details which make your home unique and more efficient.

We incorporate the Integrated Design Process (IDP) into our projects whenever possible. Working closely with our clients from project conception is very important and helps ensure a fluid and cost-effective project. By becoming involved early on in a project and cooperating on architectural and mechanical design, systems integration, and material selection as a team, we can greatly decrease the possibility of miscommunication, mistakes, and unnecessary costs. The IDP focuses on careful and thoughtful collaborative planning to make for well executed and efficient project.
